Creating a lesson with Workspace can make more engaging activities in the classroom. Consider these questions:
1. What is my objective of this lesson?
2. How can this lesson be built using Workspace?
3. Will building this lesson on Workspace augment student learning?
4. How can I engage students using the Workspace tools and other tools on the Internet?
1. Turn on your computer and open your PowerPoint or Workspace lesson
2. Open Workspace using the icon on your desktop if you presentation or lecture was not built using Workspace
3. Make sure your Interwrite Mobi is charged. (you can do this with the usb cable - plug it into the mobi and your computer)
4. Put the usb key located behind the tablet into the port on your computer
5. Turn on the mobi tablet
6. Begin your lesson
7. Troubleshooting- unplug the usb, turn off tablet to reset. Charge the mobi tablet (you can still use it during your lesson)- Trust yourself- don't panic!

1. Open up a new WorkSpace File(you can do so from clicking the Einstruction icon on your desktop)
2. Create text that says "George Washington Crosses the Delaware" (on the floating tool bar click the Textbox icon)
3. Import an image of George Washington from Google images to your document (import image from the floating tool bar)
4. Make a copy of this image on the page (click on the image and choose the copy icon)
5. Spotlight the image (from the floating tool bar choose the spotlight tool)
6. Change the background saturation to better highlight the image with the spotlight tool. (once you click on the tool, you can change the size, shape and saturation of the background)
7. Write this sentence with a blue pen: During the night of December 25, Washington led his troops across the ice-swollen Delaware about 9 miles north of Trenton. The weather was horrendous and the river treacherous. Raging winds combined with snow, sleet and rain to produce almost impossible conditions. To add to the difficulties, a significant number of Washington's force marched through the snow without shoes. (choose the pen from the tool bar and choose the color from the menu)
8. Convert your passage above to text once you write it, you can select the whole passage and click the T button on the lower left of the selected area)
9. Highlight the verbs in the passage (click on the box twice and choose the highlighter from below or in the floating toolbar)
10. Using an arrow, point to the date in the passage (there is a line menu below or in the floating toolbar, choose the arrow line)
11. Lock the image of George Washington in place (right click the image and choose the lock button)
12. Create three shapes and group them as one image (from the floating tool bar choose the shapes you want. Then highlight all three of them and choose the group function from below or by right clicking)
13. Export your document as a pdf and send in an email to scarbonaro@rider.edu
